Author Biographies           

Gary Cleveland, Ph.D., is Professor of Information Systems in the School of Business Administration at the University of Montana.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Cleveland's research interests are in the areas of operations strategy, quality improvement, and problem formulation.  He has published research articles in Decision Sciences, Journal of Operations Management, and International Journal of Production and Operations Management.  Dr. Cleveland may be contacted at (406) 243-5954, or gary.cleveland@business.umt.edu.

Shawn F. Clouse, Ed.D., is the Information Technology Director and an Assistant Professor in the School of Business Administration at The University of Montana.  He earned an MBA from The University of Montana and a doctorate in Higher Education and Technology Leadership from the School of Education at The University of Montana.   Shawn’s academic affiliation is with the Information Systems and Technology Department where he teaches courses on networking, e-Commerce, and multimedia development.  He is responsible for the management of the School of Business Administration's technology support functions, which includes an online learning environment, videoconferencing, multimedia classrooms, computer labs, and local area networks.  He does research and publishes in the areas of distance learning, utilizing technology in the teaching and learning process, and using technology to support e-Commerce and other business processes.  Dr. Clouse may be contacted at (406) 243-5985, or shawn.clouse@business.umt.edu.

Clyde W. Neu, Ph.D., is Professor of Management in the School of Business Administration at The University of Montana and the Director of the MBA Program.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1973 and co-authored a college textbook in Small Business Management in 1980.  Dr. Neu spent eleven years in private business starting in the late 1970s and returned to the University in 1988 to head up development of the Off-Campus MBA Program.  His professional interests are concentrated in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management and he has developed several business cases drawing from his business experience as well as from his ongoing consulting activities.  Dr. Neu may be contacted at (406) 243-2097, or clyde.neu@business.umt.edu.
