How Recent Brain Research Can Inform the Design of Online Learning.

Author Biography           

Katrina A. Meyer, Ph.D., is Associate Professor with the Department of Leadership at The University of Memphis, focusing on higher education administration and policy.  Dr. Meyer is the author of Quality of Distance Education:  Focus on On-Line Learning, a 2002 publication of the ASHE-ERIC Higher Education Report Series.  Dr. Meyer recently served as Director of Distance Learning and Technology for the University and Community College System of Nevada.  Prior to this, Dr. Meyer served for eight years as Associate Director of Academic Affairs for the Higher Education Coordinating Board in the state of Washington, with responsibility for technology and distance education issues.
