Online Student Evaluation of Teaching for Distance Education: A Perfect Match?

Author Biographies

Saxon G. Reasons, Ed.D., is Instructional Technology Services Programming Manager at the University of Southern Indiana. She holds the Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina, a M.S. in Ecology from Vanderbilt University, and a B.S. in biology from Furman University. Dr. Reasons assists colleagues in distance education course development and leads technology-related training for faculty, staff and the community.  Her current research interests include evaluation of distance education and professional development of distance education faculty.  Dr. Reasons may be contacted at Saxrea@usi.edu.

Charles F. Harrington, Ph.D., is Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Business Statistics at the University of Southern Indiana.  He has written extensively on the issues pertaining to faculty development for teaching and scholarship.  His current research focuses on faculty utilization patterns of course management systems.   During 2004, Dr. Harrington was recognized by the Indiana Partnership for Statewide Education with the award for excellence and innovation in support of distance education.
