Author Biographies

Elizabeth Buchanan, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies, where she is also Co-Director of the School’s Center for Information Policy Research.

Elizabeth’s research focuses on distance education pedagogy, specifically improving the student experience in virtual environments, library resources to support distance education, research methods, ethics and technology, and research in virtual space.  Dr. Buchanan is the editor of the 2004 Readings in Virtual Research Ethics, among many scholarly articles and book chapters. Sarah E. Meyers, MLIS., is a Resource Specialist Librarian at Northern Arizona University." She graduated from the UWM School of Information Studies in 2004. Her research interests include technology innovations in higher education, as well as human computer interaction (HCI) studies, and methods of distributed learning.  She is also an avid reader, musician, and enjoys spending time backpacking.

Sherrie Langston Hardin, MLIS., is a librarian with the San Antonio (Texas) Public Library system.  She earned her MLIS in 2003 through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's distance education program.
