Combining Quality and Expediency with Action Research in ELearning Instructional Design Author Biographies Ruth Gannon Cook, EdD, is Assistant Professor with the DePaul University School for New Learning, a competency-based undergraduate and graduate degree program for adult learners. Her doctorate is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Instructional Design from the University of Houston, and she also earned an advanced certificate in Curriculum Studies, Technology Diffusion, from Queens College, Cambridge University, United Kingdom. She has worked in distance and adult education internationally and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Cordell Hull Foundation for International Education.
