Abstract

Student attitudes are one of the fundamental factors that influence their achievement in the educational context. This study aimed to investigate the psychometric properties of Jordanian university students’ attitudes towards blended learning. The sample for the study consisted of 843 Jordanian university students who were enrolled in blended learning experiences during the academic year 2022-2023. We validated the Blended Learning Attitude Scale that, in its initial form, consisted of 38 items. Based on a factor analysis of the study findings, the results indicated that one dimension explained the performance of the scale. The validity indicators such as factor analysis, discernment validity, and content validity all showed acceptable values, which demonstrated the scale’s robust psychometric properties. Using this scale, we determined that Jordanian university students exhibit moderate attitudes towards blended learning. Given the students’ moderate attitudes toward blended learning, institutions should conduct awareness campaigns and training sessions to enhance students’ understanding and perception of blended learning.
