Abstract
This study explores the transformation of critical deliberative conversations from traditional face-to-face interactions to online environments, highlighting the opportunities and challenges introduced by synchronous and asynchronous discussions. The research underscores how online platforms can foster inclusive dialogue by providing students anonymity and flexibility, thereby accommodating diverse learning styles and social backgrounds. It also examines potential obstacles such as reduced emotional and social cues in virtual interactions. The paper concludes by offering pedagogical strategies for effectively facilitating online critical conversations, emphasizing the importance of clear instructions, structured deliberation spaces, and ongoing support to optimize student engagement and learning outcomes.
